What I love about the web is the opportunity to share my thoughts and passions with others. But I also like to hear what others think and to exchange ideas.

On this page, I'll share some of the comments I've received in my Guestbook and via e-mail. In some cases, I also may also respond to the comments. Please get in touch!

" I dont know if you know this or not but Dragnet was on the radio until 1958, I remember it being on along with the television show. It didnt end in 1955 as you stated."

Hi John, You are right the radio show did broadcast until the late 50's but they were taped rebroadcasts of earlier shows. Spring of 55 saw the last "New" show. btw thanks for visiting the site. Gerald

Hi Gerald!

Just discovered your site on Gavin Hurrell - it's great.

It brought back childhood memories for me.  I grew up in Maine (now known as the Stephen King state), and they filmed an episode of Route 66 in my hometown.  It's a little-known fact that some episodes of Route 66 weren't filmed anywhere near the actual Route 66!

Anyway, there I was, 10 years old, and they were filming an actual TV series in the main street of my town.  Of course, my friends and I went down to watch. I had gotten a Brownie camera of my own for Christmas, and I really wanted to look at those big fancy cameras. I remember this very tall man coming over to tell us to keep away from the cameras.  He was nice about it - he smiled as he shooed us away. I know now that that was Gavin Hurrell.  He probably wasn't as tall as I remember, but hey, I was only 10!  I was very impressed with him.

Keep up the good work on the site!

Hiya Miss Judy,
I wish I could have seen him at work. I am having trouble finding photos of the Man. Is it too much to hope you might have those photos still? I would love to put them here. Thanks for the visit.  Gerald.
